Table fountain with floating ball

A small table fountain in which an aquarium pump makes a ball float or rotate. It can be print from PLA or PETG. The Pump is running with 5V and can be powered by 4AA Cells or different other power sources. The rotation speed of the ball is controlled by a DC_DC step down converter. The following parts are required:1 pcs Mini water pump 5V      https://www.ebay.de/itm/2838747367041 pcs DC_DC Step Down Converter   https://www.az-delivery.de/collections/stromversorgung/products/lm2596s-dc-dc-step-down-modul-1   or  https://www.az-delivery.de/products/lm2596s-buck-converter-mit-3-digits-voltmeter-display?pr_prod_strat=copurchase&pr_rec_id=42c18452d&pr_rec_pid=4791595008096&pr_ref_pid=1321699836000&pr_seq=uniform1 pcs Battery holder for 4 AA cells https://www.ebay.de/itm/371886582490?epid=1804748541&hash=item56962aeada:g:02oAAOSw~AVYv8dj1pc Mini switch for cutout 11x6mm https://www.ebay.de/itm/263831778101?hash=item3d6d997335:g:hwgAAOSwTU9bVTZmOptional:Socket and plug for 5,5mm power supply 1 light emitting diode, resistor, cable, super clue, epoxy resinProduction of the printed parts:- Printing of the lower part, consisting of water reservoir and electronics housing. If the fountain is to be operated without an external power supply using only the AA cells, the opening in the electronics housing can be closed with the enclosed plug.- Printout of the upper part with the disk. If necessary, clean the channels from filament residues with a wire.- Printout of the ball. I got the best result when the sphere is printed in 2 halves, which are then glued together with superglue.-Printout of the lid of the electronics housing. There are 2 STL files included, once the lid closed and once with cutout for switch and LED.Assembly:- The water reservoir is painted inside with epoxy resin to ensure tightness. Then the cable of the pump is led through the tube to the electronics housing and sealed with silicone.- The washer is glued to the top part with superglue. The discharge nozzle of the pump is wrapped with a few layers of silicone tape and inserted into the upper part. Insert the pump nozzle only so far that the channels of the upper part remain free.- Wire the electrical components.Commissioning:Fill water resevior with water until pump suction port is well covered. Pour some water into the trough to deaerate the pump. Place the ball in the trough, because the Step Down Module is operationally set to maximum output voltage. Switch on the pump and set it to approx. 3V. The ball should now rotate slowly. The speed of rotation of the ball can be adjusted on the step down module.Have funRemarkPlease note that the fountain can cause water damage, e.g. to the laptop, PC , furniture, etc..
