Table edge cable wedge

Table edge cable wedge

thingiverse

This design aims to securely hold a cable at the back edge of a table, preventing it from falling due to its own weight while allowing for easy removal or pulling forward. Unfortunately, the cam's stability is compromised by its tendency to shift easily out of place when the cable is inserted, and its rigidity can push it upward. Further refinements are necessary to improve this design. Potential solutions, such as adding a counterweight to the cam or reducing its range of motion, may hinder cable removal or necessitate a larger print size. Some components might be adaptable for other applications: the cam itself, along with its pivot and stop pin, and the pre-bent C-clamp structure. The hardware used consists of UNC #6 screws, nuts, and washers, typical to North American standards.
