Table Cloth Weights
thingiverse
We were having a problem with our table cloth blowing up due to strong gusts of wind, causing bottles and glasses to be thrown off. To solve this issue, I remembered that we used to have little weights that could be clipped onto the table cloth to keep it in place. However, when I went to look for them, I couldn't find any in stores around here, so I decided to make my own. To print these weights, you can simply add a whole set at once on your slicer - for example, four of them. Using normal speed and resolution will yield good enough results. You can fill the weights with a marble, a steel ball, or like in my case, three standard 3/8 inch (9.3mm) bearing balls. You can also use iron shavings or lead sand as filling material. Just be sure to use something that's not too light, or they won't do their job. Once you have the weights filled with your chosen material, glue the two caps together using super glue. If you're working with a rather thin table cloth, you can heat the clip on the object with a hair blower and carefully press the two serrated pieces closer together to reduce the gap between them.
