Table Clamp Spool Holder
thingiverse
I designed this table mount spool holder to pair perfectly with the bowden style upgrade on my A8 printer, making it adaptable for use with virtually any feeder system. Print two of the M24 bolts and one of each other item listed. In the slicer program, orient the arms so they lie flat. Meanwhile, all other items should be pointing upwards, and supports are not required. I intentionally designed the holder to allow users to connect the two arms using the M16 all thread rod for added stability. I also included an M8 threaded hole to accommodate the metal rods that often come with printer models. The included spindle fits snugly into the notches provided. To ensure a secure fit, leave about 10mm of space between the arm brackets or slightly more if you prefer a looser fit. Additionally, I included a V-notch for use with an M8 threaded rod in place of the supplied spindle. If using an M8 threaded rod to mount your spool, feel free to swap the brackets around as needed. The provided M24 bolts enable users to clamp the holder to a table edge ranging from 20 to 30mm thick. You're welcome to remix or create a screw with longer threads to suit thinner table tops if desired.
