Our rickety old dinner table has a menacingly sharp edge on one of its supporting legs. My kids are getting close to being tall enough to give themselves a nasty bump on the head whenever they stand up. I could easily file down the end of the leg to make it safer, but that's no fun at all. The leg is shaped like a rectangle, 52 mm wide and 26 mm deep. It already has one screw hole in the spot where I wanted to attach it, so I drilled three more just for good measure. A short #8 or #10 screw should be enough to keep it from toppling over.
