T800 Terminator Skull Front for Raspberry Pi Camera
thingiverse
We crafted a T800 Terminator skull for a real-time facial-tracking display using a Raspberry Pi. The modelled one eye allowed space for the Pi camera, while the other eye accommodated an LED. Inside the head, we made enough space for the Pi itself with its cables and extras. We designed the back to be flat both for mounting and to accommodate our required smaller build volume for printing life-size. Check out our website (https://nyosi.com/portfolio/terminator/) for a video of the Terminator vision – deliberately glitchy to resemble finding a Terminator skull and hacking into the vision system, which was displayed on a projector at a hackfest event we organized. Our goal was to start a conversation about the ethics of technological creativity. Enjoy! The print in the photos is by Delphius_JD (https://www.thingiverse.com/Delphius_JD).
