I made a template to adapt a T8 nut to 20mm extrusion. I attached this template to a piece of 1/8 inch by 2 inch flat cold rolled steel that I purchased at Home Depot. You could also use the aluminum flat bar they have there, but it's more expensive for the same size piece. Once it was securely fastened in place, I used a center punch to mark the holes and then drilled them out using a 3mm drill bit. Next, I returned to the template and used a 9mm drill bit to create the center hole for the nut. To ensure maximum accuracy, I utilized a drill press. If necessary, you could probably print this template and use it without any modifications. The center hole of the T8 nut is precisely 30mm from the center of the extrusion holes.
