Human: Clamp / Collar for 8mm diameter (T8) Lead Screw, designed with both 8mm and 2mm lead in mind, I also offer designs for couplings to join these to Nema 23's, check out my other listings.\r\n\r\nThe collar is threaded to fit snugly with the lead screw, plastic provides a secure clamp that flexes to hold the shaft in place, requiring two M3 nuts and bolts, 15mm long.\r\n\r\nPrinting this design will depend heavily on your machine's tolerances. If it's too tight or loose, try scaling accordingly. Keep in mind that small variations can have significant effects - aim for a fit that's as secure as possible while still allowing easy assembly. Additionally, note the thread taper at each end; the tapered side should face upwards to prevent flimsy overhangs and make screwing easier. I printed my prototype in ABS.\r\n\r\nYou'll need to use support material for the arm sections, along with a generous brim or similar feature to ensure a solid bond between the part and the bed.
