T3d belt extruder
thingiverse
2/1018 I've recently made the switch to the cr10 extruder and I'm thrilled with its performance. It's working GREAT!! I'm eager to try it out on a variety of extruders, especially with flexibles, and I've also set up a cyclops to test soon.. 2/6/18 It's come to my attention that a flat area needs to be ground into the round shaft as I've been noticing slipping of the extruder gear. A simple metal file or dremel tool should do the trick. 2/2/18 I've confirmed that this works! My printer is printing with it right now... Note: I had to adjust my extruder steps_per_mm by almost 4x my original amount, but this setup seems very accurate nonetheless. 2/1/18 Instead of using a printed extruder, I ended up mounting my original aluminum MK8 extruder to the frame and it functioned better. It's easy to attach, so why replace something that works fine? This will make for less printing and hopefully people can use this system by simply attaching their current extruder. I also noticed some slipping, so I made a small washer to increase the spring tension and it works so far. I'm about to start a long print to try it out. As I continue using the design, I can refine it and make improvements. NOTE: It's best to get a shaft that is 5mmx50mm for the large gear.
