T2T - CNC Router (3+2 Axis)

The Trash to Technology project involves a CNC Router with five axes, fabricated using recycled materials such as a photocopier, MDF panels (laser-cut), and 3D-printed parts in nylon. Currently, the focus is on electronics based on Arduino, with six stepped motors from recycled printers posing a challenge. A micro lathe compound supports the Z-axis, while the spindle uses a 90W Dremel-like tool with a flexible shaft. Test cuts have been made using simple drill bits, capable of cutting up to 2mm thick aluminum sheets with proper cutting bits and a powerful Dremel tool. Milling can be done effectively with any Dremel accessory even in angled positions. The total cost is $115, with a budget of just $225 for the entire T2T project, including electronics.
