<p>A simple stand for cheap aliexpress T12 soldering station with wire tip cleaner and tip holder.</p> <p>I needed a compact holder for my soldering station beacause my workshop space is quite limited ... in fact it is a kitchen table ... the family learned to like eating elsewhere:-)</p> <p>PETG seems to hold quite well as the tip does get only a little warm where it is touching the holder. The holder head will probably get damaged over time with usage so it is designed as separate part that can be easily reprinted.</p> <p>One 5mm M3 bolt and one standard hexagonal nut is used to hold the head. It takes a bit of patience to get the nut in the slot but after it has been pulled in with a short bolt it will hold in place.</p> <p>To weigh it down there is a cutout on the bottom. I used a piece of 4mm scrap metal and it is working well. There are four 7x2mm magnets under those foam pads to help it hold down to the radiator (see the picture). The magnets are not necessary as it stands quite well on it's own.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Do not use PLA! The handle does not get too hot on the point of contact but it would probably be too much for PLA.</p> <p>PETG is surely a better choice!</p>
