T-Virus Canister - Resident Evil

Printed in clear resin, the model showcases a precise and intricate design. The caps were printed flat with no support required, while the canister was printed at a 30-degree tilt with supports on the bottom for added stability. The double helix tubes are designed to be hollow, allowing users to fill them with alcohol ink to achieve a vibrant colored effect. Despite having a loose tolerance for the caps, they were easily secured using hot glue to stick the ends in place. Scaling down the model to 60% produces excellent results on the Mars or Photon printers using Anycubic Clear Resin. A Pre-Supported version of the model has been added, scaled at 60%, offering users a convenient and easy-to-print option. It's essential to note that this design has printed flawlessly several times on the Elegoo Mars using Anycubic Clear Resin, but users should double-check their prints to ensure they meet their expectations. The V2 version of the model addresses a few issues with the original design, including fixing a thin endcap and adding stops to prevent caps from being pushed in too far. Additionally, a new version featuring a hole in the endcap has been added, allowing for easy wiring and lighting integration. When attaching the end caps, users should avoid applying excessive glue pressure, as this can damage the delicate design. Instead, they can use hot glue to create a loose seal, leaving room for future modifications or additions such as LED lights or EL wire. For those looking to enhance their model with an EL wire effect, users can fill the double helix tubes with alcohol ink and then insert EL wire through one of the holes. To facilitate this process, a small piece of wire can be bent into a loop and used to fish the EL wire through, making it easier to thread and secure. The specific EL wire used in this project is available on Amazon Canada under the product code B003J99JW4.
