t-trak R19 inside+outside corner module
thingiverse
This is a comprehensive plan for building a visually appealing R19 module for T-Trak that can serve as an inside or outside corner by simply swapping in suitable scenery blocks or utilizing it on its own. The design incorporates Kato's superelevated double-concrete track, featuring one 45-degree section and one set of easements. By reorganizing the SVG outlines and laser cutting them using a 60-watt Redsail clone laser engraver/cutter machine with 100% power, 10mm/s speed, and two passes, you can create these modules from 1/4" birch plywood. However, keep in mind that you'll need to reorganize the largest pieces slightly to fit within the bed of your machine. To build this module, you'll require two 2x2' sheets of 1/4" birch plywood (or a material of your choice) available at your local hardware store. The provided cuts are specifically designed for the deck and include laser-cutting curves, intended to be paired with scrap lumber blocks underneath, middle cut to fit T-Trak compliant height, and adjustable feet added. The sides can then be skinned using hardiboard or homosote via screw/glue or clamp/glue methods. To achieve this look, refer to the loop module on the T-Trak Wikia, which features a similar design method. Although it may seem intimidating at first, securing the blocks with enough clamps and glue is relatively easy. Update: After recalculating the dimensions, new STL/SVG files have been uploaded (9/2/17). Due to a miscalculation of 4mm, these updated designs should provide more accurate results. Additional updates include revised geometry calculations (9/5/17) and trimming the ends to achieve the necessary overhang for the track. Extra images have also been added. Further updates indicate that the geometry was finally verified as correct (12/13/17), after realizing the laser machine used was not properly calibrated. Additionally, it has been confirmed that these modules can seamlessly integrate into a classic T-Trak layout without causing any issues.
