T-Track Mobile Radio Mount
thingiverse
I needed a way to mount my radios to a wooden shelf, but I didn't want to create more holes every time I replaced a radio. (YES, it will be painted later) So I used a t-track as the mounting base and created the quick release mounts using 5mm nuts and hex head screws. I used M5x8 bolts and nuts to connect the radio mount to the t-track. T-Track: [POWERTEC 71119 Double-Cut Profile ![](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41R9hRzWHBL._AC_US40_AA50_.jpg)](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075695GSL) Bolts: [Vigrue Steel Hex Socket Head M5x8 with M5 nuts. ![](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51J1RFxaIZS._AC_US40_AA50_.jpg) ](https://www.amazon.com/Assortment-M2-M3-M4-M5/dp/B091FGQSTJ/) The nice thing about this mount is the Quick Release feature. By tilting the back of the radio up, you can slide it back a little then lift straight up and the radio is free of the mount. To adjust the position of the radio I set the back stop first to get the depth where I wanted it, then slide the front clip back and over the mount to create a tight fit. The shape of the back stop keeps the radio steady while in operation, while allowing a quick release if I want to access the data ports on the back to reprogram the memory channels, etc.
