T SLot Hold Down for Seig X1 mill
thingiverse
I converted a seized X1 Super to CNC to produce parts in steel, aluminum, wood, and acrylics, and the process for holding material to be milled is overkill in many cases. I had a couple of cheap Chinese hold-down clamps on hand, so I designed this to be cut in metal on the mill, but after printing the prototype in PLA and testing it with metal, again it's overkill, so now I'm using it to hold woods and plastics while milling. The fixings are 4 x 8mm M3 or M4 screws and nuts. It takes just 2 minutes to design in Tinkercad, making it easy to change for different sized slot tables or clamps. It's public, so you can search for "Hold Down Mount on Tinkercad." Print settings: Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30%
