T-Slot Camera Stand
thingiverse
I've redesigned my universal camera phone stand for bigger cameras like DSLR and video cameras. It comes with a T-slot that holds a bolt which securely fastens the camera using its tripod mounting hole. This T-slot ensures the camera is stably positioned, regardless of where its centre of gravity lies. Positioning options are restricted to +/-45deg roll and pitch in 11.25deg intervals only. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 25% Notes: To print the stand correctly, you should flip it upside down so that its top surface is facing down on the bed. Supports are necessary for the centre of the t-slot. I use a standard 1/4-20 UNC thread bolt, measuring approximately 25mm long, to attach the camera securely. I found adding a small rubber washer between the bolt and the stand made it much easier to lock the camera in place.
