T-Sk8 Wheels (t-slot linear bearing system)
thingiverse
T-Sk8 wheels bridge the gap between maker rails and standard t-slot extrusions such as Faztek and 80/20 by design. Machined from solid polycarbonate, they feature low profile captive geometry for increased strength and mounting options over traditional t-slot bearings. Metric 20 series wheels are made available first and are fully compatible with all plates and accessories from DIY suppliers like Inventables.com and the OpenBuilds Parts Store. The introductory batch consists of 80 regular and 80 mini wheels, also available as kits which include: (1) Regular or Mini T Sk8 Wheel (1) M5 Nylon Lock Nut (2) Bearings (2) Shims Email info@bearcnc.com for more information. UPDATE: The FAZ wheel file is specific to Faztek extrusions, and the 80/20 wheel file is specific to 80/20 extrusions. A big challenge with this project is that not all 1"x1" t-slot extrusions are the same. Specification files will be added as soon as possible. Print these files at 100% infill and use support where the thing touches the bed for best results. A high strength co-polymer filament is recommended over PLA or ABS. These wheels are best milled on a lathe from bar stock like nylon or polycarbonate rod, but the stl files can be helpful in prototyping your build. UPDATE 12/19: New MK2 files have been added! These wheels are optimized to print with solid infill and no supports using any material. Specs will follow as soon as possible.
