T-Scann 8 Mod - Modular film gate
thingiverse
Adaptation of the original filmgate parts of project T-Scann8, by Torulf Holmström.The original purpose of this adaptation is to allow removing the UV led support so that the aluminium paper can be easily replaced when it wears out. Afterwards, I thought it would be even better to also allow separating the film gate from the ground plate. Finally, I merged the 'phototrans-lower' with the 'ground-gate' in a single piece, to avoid using any glue on this component.Update 29-Jan-2024: Added new photo-transistor holder, with associated protection, much more compact (and light proof) than the original. Also, no need to cover the hole with aluminium foil and punch a small hole into it, small hole is already built in (depending on the printer, you might need to make it a bit bigger). Only condition is that a different photo transistor is required: Liteon LTR-301 (datasheet here). The PT_Protection_v6 part has a couple of small holes intended to pass the photo-transistor legs through them, so that the cables can be soldered outside of it (protected with Heat-shrink tubing), making it totally protected against any external light.Update 13-feb-2024: Uploaded Ground-Gate v5, which I forgot last time. It is required for the new phototrans-upper v4 (it has a recess to allow space for the legs of the phototransistor). Sorry for thatUpdate 6-Aug-2024: Replaced 'Phototrans upper v4' by 'Phototrans upper v5', since the v4 had a wrong edge that could cause problems when printing in some cases.
