T-Rex2 Ball Screw Mounts
thingiverse
These are the bearings I use for the upper mounts: F608zz. The stock mounts' 688s get used in the lower section. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DWVIBJU ## Printing instructions: Minimum 4 outer walls, 6 top walls/bottom solid layers, 50% infill are required for a good print. If you're not printing perfectly accurate, scale down the insert slightly to ensure proper fit. ## Installation: Install F688z and top plug into mount first, but do not install bottom plug yet. Move the x gantry up as high as possible. Remove motor and motor mount, loosen or disconnect the coupler. Unmount the ball screw bearing next. Slide the motor mount into position carefully, it will be tight but you should be able to get the ball screw into the F688z bearing. You'll need to drop the lower T-nut into the channel and get it aligned. The top can stay attached to the bolt. Ensure the T-nuts are seated properly in place. Tighten down the T nuts, but leave them loose for now. They need to be horizontal otherwise there won't be enough room. Push up on the motor mount so that there is no play in the ball screw in the bearings then tighten the bottom T nut. Ensure the ball screw moves freely after this step. If it does, install the other insert and tighten the top T nut next. Install motor and coupling finally, push coupling up as high as you can without touching the mount.
