Oval base for the T-Rex: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:308335 The maker used OpenSCAD to design the rod hole, giving it a 12 degree angle into the oval-shaped base, resulting in a very natural-looking sit for the skull. Made with OpenSCAD, the attached file includes some code written by the creator (please pardon any errors due to their ongoing learning). To assemble this 3D model, I'm using a 9mm dowel as the rod that will hold the T-Rex skull in place. Printer Settings Printing on Printrbot Simple Metal. Rafts don't really matter in my case. Supports were not necessary at all. Printing at 0.2mm resolution seems to work perfectly. For this project, a low 10% infill is sufficient.
