T-Rex for Objet Connex 500
thingiverse
At work, I printed a T-rex from 3dphacktory.com using the Objet 500 printer. I remixed IcanCwhatUsay's design to make it larger and use various materials. It was simple to separate the eyes and teeth in Netfabb Studio and export them as individual files. In Objet Studio, I imported these three files as an assembly and selected distinct digital materials for each part. To recreate this at home, download the body, eyes, and teeth STL files, then start a new tray in Objet Studio. Insert the three files as an assembly and select different materials for each component before printing. A word of caution: I used Shore50 on the body, which made the legs too flexible; consider using a more rigid material to prevent the dinosaur from leaning back on its tail.
