T-Post Trail Game Camera Mount

10/31/2018 - Uploading new version 3 now. Print both pieces and join them together by fitting the bottom of the main mount into the groove built into 3.1. This provides your camera with a small shelf to set on. This device enables you to attach a trail or game camera to a standard-sized T-post. The hole at the top fits over the top of the post, and then secure the bottom of the bracket on the back side using a short piece of wire or a zip tie. You have two options for attaching your camera to the plate. Most cameras come with a short strap for securing to a tree. You can use this strap by utilizing the notches built into the side of the mount. Alternatively, most cameras now come with a standard 1/4-inch, twenty threads per inch mounting point on the back. I added a slot in the middle so you could mount your camera in this way if you wish. Please note that I created this as a quick and easy way to set up a trail or game camera anywhere you can drive a T-post. It works well but do not install it on public lands or where someone else might come by and steal your camera. This device may be practical, but it does not provide any protection against theft. After all, it's made of plastic! If security is your top priority, purchase one of the many metal anti-theft boxes and mounts available at your local sporting goods store or online. I print in PETG, but ABS would probably be a better choice, especially a dark color to offer some UV resistance. You can use as little as 10% infill if you want. The more infill you use, the stronger it will be. No supports are required if your printer is properly calibrated! This will fit on a standard 200x200 printer with no problem. Have fun!
