For my vise mounting solution (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5359005) I "borrowed" T-nuts from another accessory and I don't like to collect parts when I work on something. As the claws are light duty use anyhow the T-nuts could also be made from plastic. Quick design, tested with a sample and the remaining four printed. The M6 nut sits lose by purpose and should be glued in with superglue or Epoxy. Print parameters: PLA with 0.2mm layers, 25% cubic infill with dual lines and support 2022-04-19 added M4 and M5 nuts 2022-05-02 Some people had problems with these parts cracking under load. I did some testing and if you orient them with the marking upwards and use ≥2mm wall thickness and 100% infill they can handle a lot more force. 2022-05-03 Found a way to make them about as strong as the usual T-nuts made from lousy steel. It is using a drive-in M6 nut which is glued in with Epoxy and then filed or machined to width. However, if you own a milling machine it is cheaper and equally fast to machine them from a piece of steel scrap. If you want to try it: T-nut-8mm-M6x7mm-20mm.stl flat printed with 5mm (!) wall width. You not on have to file the nuts narrower you also have to flatten two of the anchors! 2022-05-03 Looks like the drive-in nut version is a bit difficult to understand so I made some more to take a picture which may help to better understand ho they are build. They are usable anyhow even if I could have made machined ones from steel in the same time.
