This is an upgraded radio box for a Traxxas T-maxx Nitro RC truck. The custom-designed enclosure provides additional space over the standard box. It was created to accommodate the installation of an FPV video transmitter, which can be used in conjunction with my previously designed FPV camera mount (available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3134570). The FPV transmitter draws power from a spare servo outlet on the radio receiver. A toggle switch was added to allow for convenient switching between normal and FPV modes, conserving battery life and enabling the truck to be operated without the lid or camera. The camera connects via a repurposed servo extender lead at the front of the enclosure. A small hook is designed to secure the video transmitter aerial in place. Image quality on the viewfinder is significantly improved compared to the photo, which was struggling to capture the details due to the intense lighting from the first tank lights.
