T Max Y Axis Upgrade
thingiverse
The stepper mount's flexibility was a major issue under moderate belt tension. It caused the old bracket-mounted stepper to tilt severely, preventing the belt from tracking properly. Tightening the belt on the reinforced Y-Axis doesn't cause any noticeable flexing. As an added benefit, the new mounting bracket offers excellent protection for the stepper. Print Settings: Printer: Akimbo Rafts: Irrelevant Supports: Not necessary Resolution: 0.35 Infill: 35% Notes: The design is spacious enough to print with low infill density, but I strongly recommend three perimeter walls and three top/bottom layers for optimal results. I have successfully printed this structure both with and without supports. If your printer handles overhangs well, you should encounter no issues; otherwise, consider using support structures.
