T MAX
thingiverse
The T MAX is an improvement upon the MendelMax design, featuring increased print height and accessibility. It achieves this by positioning side columns vertically and widening space between top horizontal beams. This allows the extruder assembly to protrude past the beams. The vertical columns also bring the printer bed and extruder closer to the center for easier access. Additionally, extra height is provided under the print bed to accommodate power supply, controller, and control panel mounting. Key components remain the same as MendelMax, and a T MAX can even be made from a MendelMax extrusion kit. It uses low-maintenance Igus pillow block bearings, RAMPS 1.4 controller, and a 30A 12VDC power supply. The maximum print size is approximately X 210mm, Y 210mm, Z 210mm. T MAX LCD & SD Control Panel and Spool Holder are available on Thingiverse. Detailed instructions with illustrations guide the assembly process using MendelMax components and fasteners. Special instructions include drilling two 6mm holes in top horizontal extrusions, fastening vertical extrusions with 40mm long bolts, and using longer thread rods for the higher Z axis.
