T-Handle Knob
thingiverse
I Decided to Create a Custom LED Swing Arm Work Flood Lamp that Needed Some Adjustments. To Loosen and Move the Light Without Using a Wrench, I Chose to Design Knobs That Fit Perfectly. The Round Knobs Just Didn't Feel Right, So I Designed These to Provide More Torque for Holding the Flood Light Steady. I Used 5/16" Hardware, So I Designed the Knobs with a 5/16" Nut in Mind. To Minimize Supports and Make Them Stronger, I Printed the Design Inverted, Leaving Only the Inside Area Where the Nuts Go Without Supports. With 100% Infill, These Knobs Are Extremely Durable, Especially Since I Only Print in ABS, Which Is Very Strong Anyway. The Nut Simply Drops into the Hex Hole and Stays in Place Thanks to the Bolt, So There's No Need for Glue. However, If You Plan to Completely Unscrew the Nut, a Little Epoxy Can Hold It in Place Better. This Design is Currently Only Compatible with 5/16" Nuts but Can Be Easily Rescaled to Fit Any Size You Need. I May Upload Versions for 1/4" and 3/8" Nuts at Another Time. UPDATE: A 1/4" Version Has Been Added.
