The STL file was prepared by four immunology students, Florian, Tifanie, Marie, and Laetitia at the University of Toulouse. This university's website is http://www.univ-tlse3.fr/. They were allowed to print the T cell Receptor molecule. The "Thing" was created within a pedagogical scenario that aimed to introduce students to examining and handling 3D structures. It was downloaded using the .gz extension. Then, the structure was modified for 3D printing using Chimera software and saved in the .stl format.
