This is a re-creation of the iconic T-800 arm from the Terminator! After crafting the original in gleaming chrome, I'm particularly fond of its appearance when covered in black primer before applying the chrome finish. So instead of replicating the same arm, I designed my own rendition of the T-800 arm in BLACK! I printed both arms on an Elegoo MARS MSLA printer! "How much resin did you use?" "I used approximately 700 to 800 milliliters - a 1-liter bottle from ANYCUBIC 405nm gray, sourced from AliExpress." "How long did it take to print all the parts?" "Surprisingly long, yet not excessively so. The majority of parts are relatively small, making them ideal for resin printing, where you can often print 20 or more parts at once! Most prints took around 5 to 6 hours (20+ parts per print), while a few larger prints required 16 hours (around 5+ parts per print)." "The best part is prepping the parts," I discovered. "Due to their extremely fine resolution, you don't need to prime and sand the parts multiple times." A single layer of Tamiya primer, followed by some wet sanding with a 600-grid sandpaper, and finally one layer of Motip spray putty, were all that was required before painting!
