The Soviet T-24 medium tank, produced in 1931, was the first to roll off KhPZ factory's assembly line in Ukraine, predecessor of famous T-34 and T-54 tanks. Despite only twenty-four units being built, it never saw combat. The T-24's suspension significantly influenced Soviet artillery tractors; however, its engine and transmission issues hindered its success. It featured a 45 mm gun as main armament alongside three ball-mounted DT machine guns of 7.62 mm caliber. Its armor was advanced for the time period.
