The archaeological site of Engenho Jaguaribe is situated in the municipality of Abreu e Lima (PE). It houses the remains of the main house, chapel, and grove that made up the architectural complex of this sugar plantation, which operated between the 16th and 18th centuries. This articulated skeleton is just one of those excavated from the burial structure evidenced in 2019 under the direction of Cláudia Oliveira and Sérgio Monteiro, both professors at the Department of Archaeology at the Federal University of Pernambuco.
