System to Convert JGAurora A5 to Direct Drive

These parts allow you to eliminate the troublesome Bowden setup on the JGAurora A5 and use the E3D/Titan hotend extruder system with ease. By using a pancake stepper motor, you can gain about 200 grams if you also add the Scorpion part cooling system. I made some slight modifications to the lower part of the Scorpion to reach the hotend and kept the fan mounting part the same as originally designed by Onebaldman. You can find this great print on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1856623. To hold the part cooler in place, I used standoffs that are mounted to the bolts that hold the two molded parts for mounting the Titan together. I purchased a standoff kit from Amazon and it worked perfectly - you can find it here https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I0SORIE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The mounting plate is held to the two X axis bearings with cable ties. It's essential that you have set up your extruder correctly before molding these parts, so make sure you get your extrusion multiplier set correctly by using a single wall test piece and verify your ESteps are correct. This is crucial for ensuring the bearings fit perfectly. The X axis stop switch is screwed into the Titan mount as shown, with M3 screws after predrilling small holes that you locate. You should also mount the adjustable X stop screw holder to the top of the left X axis bracket using an M4 screw - it's a simple but effective design. With these modifications, your wire loom will no longer have to fit up into the top cutout of the frame, and you'll only lose a small amount of travel. I still have 285, 280, and 300 (X,Y,Z) mm of travel available on my machine. The portion of the Titan mount with the series of holes can be used to wire tie the wire loom to it, or even mount a BLTOUCH sensor. This idea was inspired by another mount for a different machine, but I think it's a great addition. The main parts of the mount were all designed by me in AutoDesk Fusion.
