The original project features a four-bar mechanism capable of providing a linear displacement of 71.5mm on a 5° slope. Designed using Autodesk Inventor 2014 and animated with Inventor Studio, the mechanism consists of a green crank, orange, red bars, and a supporting plate. As the crank moves from -27° to 54° due to clockwise action, the lower vertex of the triangle moves between marks at 71.5mm distance. The desmodromic mechanism has only one degree of freedom due to roller tangency with the channel in the plate. Downloadable parts and assembly allow users to customize animations using Inventor Studio for a closer look at its functioning.
