A basic low poly rigged and textured 3D model of Symphysodon, commonly referred to as discus, is available. Symphysodon are highly social fish that live in groups of dozens, which is unusual for cichlids found in the Americas. When breeding, a pair moves away from their group possibly to avoid eating their young. Symphysodon species can be found on the edges of floodplain lakes and rivers in the lowland Amazon basin where they are part of a highly diverse fish population. This rig works with Maya 2018 and has full Animschool control, allowing for complex movements like the real animal as shown.
