Symmetrical Tensile Tetra
thingiverse
I've created a super accessible, affordable, and stylish tetra that's a breeze to build. The hubs are designed to fit snugly around inexpensive 3/16" and 1/8" dowels, but can easily be resized for larger diameter dowels. I printed the five hubs on my trusty MakerBot Rep 2 in under an hour and a half. To assemble, simply use hot glue to firmly secure the dowels within the hubs. For more construction details, check out my original tensile tetra post at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:923670. Dowel lengths are listed below. Since the tetra is symmetrical, you'll find it easy to determine where each dowel goes: 4 @ 431 mm 2 @ 363 mm 2 @ 158 mm 1 @ 181 mm
