A Simple Descent Clamp for the Syma X8 Quadcopter. This Device Installs in Place of the Camera and Operates Using the Same Controls as the Original Camera - Simply Pressing the "Photo" or "Video" Buttons to Open and Close the Clamp. Bill of Materials: - An ATTiny85 Breakout Board (or Digispark) for Programming and Control. - A High-Torque MicroServo 9g for Controlling the Descent Clamp. - A Staple or Thick Wire to Secure the Servo in Place. - A Standard 3.5 mm Jack for Powering the Device. - Additional Wiring and Screws for Assembly. - The Mounting Thing - a Custom Design Available on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1505302). Software Requirements: - Arduino IDE for Digispark to Program and Control the Descent Clamp. - Adafruit SoftServo Library for Smooth Servo Movement and Control.
