Syma X5C-1 Racing Drone Mod
thingiverse
This is a project that I started some time ago to transform my damaged Syma toy drone into a fast racing-style drone. Arm extension and support for my hollow framed-drone with Lumenier motor are necessary. The toy-grade Syma X5C-1 has an 2400mm x-style frame. After mine broke, I decided to keep the frame and replace the internals with: -SP f3 flight controller -FS-ia6b receiver -80A PDB with 5v and 12v BEC -20A BL Heli_S ESCs -All-in-one 5.8gHz 600tvl FPV camera -RX1803 2500kv brushless motors -4x4.5 DAL props -3s, 650mah lipo In order to mount these new motors to the frame, the inside of the Syma frame must be reinforced and elevated to properly house the motor. This part is designed to fit inside of each arm. Holes should be drilled in the top corresponding to the mounting holes on the brushless motor. It's obvious that the new version of this quadcopter will perform at a much higher level than the previous version.
