Human: The space of places is fragmented and there's an increasing gap between lived-in spaces and those that are merely lived in. - Bauman The old ruins of the San Francisco monastery are a wounded and damaged urban fragment, battered by social and institutional forgetfulness. SXIII is an urban intervention that aims to heal these ruins while respecting their original structures and objectives. By pedestrianizing Calle Azorín, SXIII improves accessibility to the ruin through transition surfaces. In the Gothic period, architecture soared upward, projecting itself into the sky via delicate pointed arches. SXIII takes these arches with dynamism and proposes a modern vision of the city's urbanistic sign of identity. In their original form, the ruins were a place for spiritual encounter - a space of peace, calmness, and light. SXIII envisions a meeting place for 21st-century beings through cutting-edge cultural events that stimulate and inspire. A site of nostalgia, stimulation, identity, and belonging. SXIII
