This is my 6th remix of the awesome 3DPRINTINGWORLD's original Collapsing Lightsaber. I love his so much that I just can't stop making these, and I'm thrilled to share another one with you all today! So, thank you, sir, for inspiring me to create more amazing sabers like this one - if you like it, please use his Amazon Link to show your support by purchasing something from him. It uses the blade from his original design that I just can't get enough of! This particular saber is based on the basic lightsaber that young Padawans forge at the Jedi Temple on Tython in Star Wars: The Old Republic - a game that I've had the pleasure of playing for years, although it's been a while since my last gaming session. I included an image search result from back then to give you an idea of what inspired me. Creating the big button was tougher than I thought it would be, but I persevered and came up with a solution - making it a smaller, separate part that you can attach using glue. I also included a cap to hold the blade in place while you're wearing it on your belt. The handle is designed to be narrower so that you can wrap some sort of material around it, and I even picked up a bag of leather scraps at my local craft store for less than $10US - what a great find! Update Feb. 24, 2020: After making a new cover, I'm excited to share that Version 2 has been uploaded, which should fit and clamp on much better as it covers most of the top ring. Although the first cover did clip on to the top groove, it wasn't secure enough and kept falling off - so I've left both versions available for you to choose from, in case one works better for your needs!
