Sword of Truth Grace
thingiverse
Fellow Sword of Truth enthusiasts! It's slim pickings here when it comes to SOT-related content worth printing out. So I made my own 3D key-chain model of the Grace using Tinkercad - and it's my first-ever attempt at 3D modeling! After printing it out, the result was fairly good, but that square outline could have come out a lot more solid. On top of that, I got the eight-pointed star part a little off when comparing it to how Terry Goodkind described the Grace in his books. It's not perfect by any means, but close enough and it does look cool. Take a gander! Edit: To give you a better visual experience, I went back and tweaked my SOT key-chain design. The changes were pretty straightforward - making that eight-pointed star a bit smaller so there was more breathing room between each of its components and bumping up the size of the square so it stood out more clearly. Printing Details: No rafts, supports or extra material used to keep the model in place. A higher print resolution brought out all those finer details you'd want from your 3D prints. Custom Area: To give the key-chain a smoother finish I sanded down some of its rough edges. It looks pretty light due to this sanding, which also removed a bit more detail from it.
