This is my Thorin Oakenshield Sword design, inspired by The Hobbit. The model you see here was crafted by me with love and care. As an enthusiast of Thorin and elvish weaponry, I'm excited to bring more fantasy-inspired swords, bows, axes, and wands from the movies to life! With a modelling time of 5 hours invested, this sword is now ready for you to explore. Measuring 90 cm in length, it can be printed bigger or smaller to suit your preferences. Just a note that I've included smaller parts for those using smaller printers (14x14x14cm) - however, I envision the actual sword size being approximately 100-110 cm long. The design consists of four parts: handle, mid-part, blade (two sections), and connector. For those with really large printers, no split part is included, making it even more accessible. You'll need to employ support during printing for certain components, but trust me, the end result will be well worth it! Now, I'd love to share my print settings with you using my CREALITY CR-10 printer: Handle Part: * Layer thickness: 0.1mm (100 micron) * Infill density: %20 * Support material: Open Support * Temperature: Bed heat - 60 Degrees Celsius (for all models), Nozzle heat - 200 degrees Celsius (for all models) Printing time is approximately 12 hours, as per my specifications. Middle Part: * Layer thickness: 0.1mm (100 micron) * Infill density: %20 * Support material: Open Support Printing time for this part comes in at about 10 hours, following the same measures I used previously. Blades Part: * Layer thickness: 0.15 mm (150 micron) * Infill density: %20 * Support material: Close Support Each blade section requires around 4 hours to print, depending on your settings and equipment. With these print settings in mind, the total estimated time required for a full build is approximately under 2 days. And if you're printing at a resolution of 0.1-0.15 mm (100 - 150 micron), be prepared for results so fine they require no sandpaper or additional finishing techniques! Feel free to reach out and show me your prints whenever you get the chance! You can also message me with any questions about my designs, bulk orders, or anything else on your mind. On to the next project! --- The Story of Orcrist Sword This Elven sword, Orcrist, is paired with Glamdring, a companion in might and legend. Its sheath adorned with fancy metalwork and gemstones was not just an aesthetic marvel but also held significance as it featured an Elvish hilt. As one among many Elvish artifacts of the Third Age, this legendary sword held an incredible secret – the ability to sense Orc presence, illuminating itself in blue hues to alert its bearer. Legend spoke that during a battle with Sauron's armies, while wielding this mighty blade named Biter (a name that reflected both fear and the power wielded by the sword) , Beorn, who stood guard against goblin forays and hostile forces of Sauron.
