Swivel out/away sim rig keyboard mount
thingiverse
A keyboard mount for my sim rig resembles a writing desk in a university lecture hall. It pivots outward from the cockpit for use, then swivels back down and out of the way for storage or entry/exit. This design accommodates a Logitech K400r wireless keyboard/trackpad but can be modified to fit any keyboard by redesigning the support arms. Hardware list: - Shoulder pivot: M10 x 50mm with nut - Swivel: M8 x 30mm with two washers and locknut - Keyboard supports to keyboard adapter: Four M6 x 20mm screws - Stopper: Two M3 x 12mm screws - Frame mount to rig frame: Three M8 x 50mm screws with washers and locknuts - Frame swivel to shoulder pivot: Five M6 x 20mm screws - Keyboard swivel to keyboard mount: Five M6 x 60mm screws All parts are ready to print without support. High infill is recommended for strength. Note that you may need to sand the two swivel pieces to remove layer lines and apply a dry lube between them during assembly. The bolt through the swivel pieces can be tightened or loosened to adjust the joint's friction level. The stopper pieces can be placed in several positions to set the keyboard's angle when fully extended.
