Swivel Eye for Filament Guide Wheel
thingiverse
I just cut a section out to hang a filament guide wheel. (The filament guide wheel is a remix of - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53427 so the wheel and bearing can be attached to it's holder with an M5 bolt and lock nut, which I think most people might have on hand opposed to the original M8 bolt) Makes it easier to move the wheel on and off, and to initially hang the wheel. I use all this to guide the filament to my direct drive printer in it's enclosure. It is awesome and all thanks to this Swivel Eye. If you want to make this, all you need is a 608 bearing (22mm OD-8mm ID-7mm Thick), an M5 bolt and an M5 lock nut. Glue both wheels together (or don't - the bearing will probably hold the wheels on by itself, but I prefer to be sure), push the bearing into the center hole, then lock it all in place with the M5 bolt through a spacer, and a lock nut, which you tighten as much as possible while still allowing enough free-play for it to spin. Thanks a bunch TikiLuke !! I really appreciate your design. I hope you enjoy this remix, and please click the like "Heart" if you like, or love, my work.
