Switchbox and circuit for Lightsupport for Ender 3 & Ender 5
thingiverse
Hello there, this switchbox is just a small part of a project to illuminate your 3D printer. The switchbox features two switches and one button that control everything. One button turns the normal LED strip in the grooves of the Ender 3 on or off. The other switch controls the RGB strip on the backside of the Ender 3, turning it on or off. The button is directly connected to the Arduino Nano to navigate through colors on the RGB strip. All LED strips operate at 5V, so a DC-to-DC converter is necessary to convert 24V from the power supply to 5V for the LEDs and the Nano. Parts needed: * 1 x Arduino Nano V3 * 1 x DC-to-DC converter (Imax = 3A) * 2 x 2-way toggle switches (for mounting diameter = 5mm) * 1 x small sensor button * 1 x ballpoint pen spring * 20 x WS2818 RGB strips, each with 144 LEDs per meter * Approximately 64 x normal LED strips, each with 30 LEDs per meter and a width of 7mm Note: If you want to use more than the specified amount of LEDs, be sure to check the current load to avoid damaging the converter or LEDs.
