The SwitchBot Indoor/Outdoor Thermo-Hygrometer Combo sensor is provided with a double sided sticky pad for mounting it to a relatively smooth dry surface. This is designed to attach to the back of the device, which is also the battery cover. The battery cover has a gasket seal to aid it being IP rated when installed. If the supplied sticky pad is used, and the sensor needed to be removed for whatever reason (batteries etc), the back plate would be left on the mounting surface.To prevent the battery cover seal being damaged, I decided to create a 3D model in Fusion360 to hold the sensor securely. This holder enables the sensor to be removed easily, if required, without risking the thin plastic battery cover or its gasket.The initial version 001 was made a little too tight, as the sensor needed to be pushed in and made extraction a little risky.I increased the tolerances a bit, on version 002, and now the sensor sits inside with a little breathing space. If required some thin strips of tape could be added to either the sensor or the holder.I edited version 2 to get a third version (ver003) which added holes to prevent the sensor sitting in water if mounted outside.
