Switchboard Breakerboard Blanking Plate

The aging blanking plate in my electrical panel was deteriorating rapidly, its fragile structure beginning to disintegrate. It was imperative to design a replacement component that would meet the demands of modern electrical systems. I envisioned a new design for the switchboard breakerboard blanking plate, one that would provide a secure and durable solution for electrical panels. The default design featured a 1mm retaining lip, a seemingly adequate feature; however, another option boasted an even more substantial retaining lip, providing added security against tampering or accidental removal. To bring this concept to life, I utilized FreeCAD 0.18 to create a detailed digital model of the new blanking plate. This CAD file allowed for precise manipulation and refinement of the design, ensuring that every aspect met the required standards for electrical safety and functionality.
