Switchable Magnet
thingiverse
Switchable magnet toy/tool, similar to Magswitch, gets the job done despite not being particularly strong - a gentle hand is all it takes to remove it. This versatile tool requires 12 x 6x6m cylinder magnets and 12 x 5x15mm cylinder rods made of steel/iron. Insert the magnets in alternating north/south directions into both parts. When they're aligned, each rod has either two north or two south-facing magnets, turning the device on. Conversely, when they're unaligned, an iron rod is faced with both a north and a south magnet, turning it off. Printing this item without supports is relatively easy. If using Cura for slicing, be sure to disable "Fill gaps between wall" to get the best results.
