Switch Surface Mount

I designed a holder/mount that surfaces mounts a switch for daytime running lights (DRL) disconnects. The standard Dorman 85920 20A switch is used, available at big auto store chains everywhere. It's specifically designed for #8 self-tapping screws and features enough space for an 8mm 1/4" drive socket. I've included two versions: one with the DRL lettering extruded on the side and a blank version. When using this mount, you'll need to trim the switch's spring-like mounting tabs easily done. Next, carefully trim the plastic with a sharp blade to ensure the sides are flush.
