Switch Panels :: Polypanel Electronics

Switch out polypanels for 12x12 mm switches, with custom caps installed.\r\nThe panels securely hold one or two OMRON B3F-4000/5000 style tactile switches (12×12 mm, such as B3F-4055).\r\nNote that the bracket holding the switch in place is quite stiff; once clipped into position, you may need to use cutters if you want to remove or change the switch.\r\nCustom caps come in two sizes, 3 mm and 5 mm thick, with two patterns available (flat and grooved; the latter matches potentiometer knobs, see link below). The panel is 1.2 mm thick, so the thinner cap just barely protrudes when pressed. You can print button caps facing down or standing up.\r\nSupport is recommended in the latter case (turn the button so that the connector forms a U to save material). I use flexible PLA in my builds (same as for potentiometer knobs), but standard materials work just fine too.\r\nThis panel matches the design of the potentiometer panels found at https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-93751.\r\nFor more on polypanels, see makeanything.design/polypanels.
