Switch Interrupter

An electromechanical device with one or more sets of electrical contacts is commonly known as a switch. The contacts can be in two states - either 'closed' where they are touching and electricity flows, or 'open' when the contacts are separated and it becomes nonconducting. The mechanism that causes this transition between open and closed states may be a toggle (for continuous 'on' or 'off') or momentary (push-for 'on' or push-for 'off') type switch.
